Machining Technology

1. Plasma cutting is recommended for Mn13 high manganese wear-resisting steel plate. Plasma cutting is divided into underwater plasma cutting and air plasma cutting. Using underwater plasma cutting, plasma can produce several emission of high temperature, high manganese steel slit rapidly melting, and because of the water block to avoid oxidation, and in a timely manner of the steel plate for cooling water, stop the carbide precipitation, make steel plate cutting surface smooth level off, no heat affected zone, cutting quality, the best is the first selection of cutting high manganese steel. Air plasma cutting can also be used.

2.Mn13 high manganese wear-resisting steel plate can also use the traditional flame cutting. Flame cutting, it is recommended to use cutting car, according to the different thickness of the steel plate, the use of different specifications of the gun head, gas and oxygen ratio adjustment appropriate (preferably neutral flame), it is best to start after all adjustment, to prevent the halfway flameout arc caused by section gap, affecting the cutting quality.

3.Mn13 high manganese wear resistant steel plate welding: high manganese wear resistant steel plate welding can be selected by manual arc welding method. Electrode D256 (pile 256) or D266 (pile 266) electrode; Weld should be polished before welding, to thoroughly clean the workpiece groove and edge, remove rust, oil, at the same time the electrode drying; When welding, should choose small diameter electrode (generally 3mm-3.5mm), small current, high voltage, multi-welding layer, multi-welding pass, fast welding; If dc welding is used, the electrode is connected with the positive electrode; Hammer the weld after welding each layer to improve its thermal crack resistance. Running water can also be used for rapid cooling.
